Celebrating the Seasons: Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice also known as Yule, Christmas, and Saturnalia, occurs in mid December. It celebrates the birth of the new Solar year and the beginning of Winter. The Goddess manifests as the Great Mother and the God as the Sun Child. The God also appears as Santa Claus and Old Man Winter. Colors are Red, Green, and White. This is a festival of inner renewal.

Strengthen bonds with family and friends by visiting and/or exchanging gifts and greetings. Decorate your home with lights, greens, and holiday colors. Bless your home with a Yule wreath on your front door and sprigs of mistletoe inside. If you are part of a group, take up a collection of food and/or clothing at your Yule gathering and give what you collected to a social service agency to distribute to the needy.  Place sunflower seeds outside for wild birds to feast upon. Greet the Sun at dawn on Solstice morning by ringing bells. Do magic for a more peaceful planet.

As we celebrate this holidays time with lights, songs, gifts, evergreens, and other folkways of our ancestors of many lands, Let us remember the ancient and sacred spirit of Winter Solstice - that of renewal, peace, and interconnectedness.

As the days grow longer again and we embrace Winter and the new Calendar year, Let us kindle within ourselves a deeper awareness of the Divine Circle of Nature of which we are all part.

Let us celebrate our relationships with our families, friends, communities, cultures, all of Nature, and the Divine as Unity and as Multiplicity.

May we be filled with Joy, Love, and Harmony, and this Spirit of Yuletide shine within and around us throughout the year, as the Wheel of the Seasons continues to turn.

~ Solstice 2011 ~ 21/22 December ~ As these Solar Beings of Light, and transfiguring Flames of Divine Love, the Solstice energies offer us an opportunity of deeper transformation and manifestation in illuminating the essence of our own magnificence. As we are surrounding in the sacred copper-gold flame of Solar Service, we merge with our I Am Presence and connect through the Sun to the Central Sun and Great Central Sun. From the center of Love, we ground these energies through our bodies, into the Golden Solar Sun disc within our hearts, and from here, into the inner earth sun, as these physical vessels of Divine Love. Transformation is offered to us primarily in healing the polarity of gender and false planetary contracts, while balancing the Divine Masculine and Feminine within. The keycodes experienced through this Solar Gateway of Manifestation, illuminates and further activates the Golden Solar Sun Disc Discs within and around the Unity Grid. As we experience the new DNA encodings of Light being amplified at this time, we can use these fifth dimensional zero field energies of Divine Love to work with our own personal issues, transmuting, healing and loving, while bringing into manifestation that which was previously unmanifest, as we journey into the Ascension Seat within the Solar Core through the Overlighting of Helios and Vesta, and the Beings of Light from On High. As the red carpet of holiday energies ushers us toward the Winter Solstice, the advent of 2012 gives us yet another reason to celebrate. The joys of the season remind us that that the spark that ignites on December 22nd will seed the matrix with the blueprint for the coming year. All of us understand that we are privileged to be the ones who get to bear witness to the Great Shift of the Ages. No matter how we choose to frame our 2012 pictures, and whether or not we ascribe to the idea that it is a moment of unprecedented change, most of us have come to the realization that what happens next is living inside the visions that manifest every time we remember what we’re here for. It is in our hearts that we connect with the things that will help us change the world. On the night of the Solstice, the light of the world returns – and in the center of that moment Spirit works through us to recreate itself. At this most magical time of the year, imagine what could happen if our
hearts opened wide enough to allow all of our highest visions to etch new patterns of Unity and Love into the blueprint for 2012.
